Here’s a definition from wikipedia: The rat race is a term often used to describe work, particularly excessive work; in general terms, if one works too much, one is in the rat race. This terminology contains implications that many people see work as a seemingly endless pursuit with little reward or purpose.
In Robert Kiyosaki’s book about “Rich Dad Poor Dad”, he mentioned this term several times. It refers to most of us, working very hard in a company and establishing ourselves as a good employee. But in the end, we are still getting less or not sufficient return at all.
Rat race is a cycle wherein we people rely too much on our work. We wait each month end for the salary, spend the money, and work for a month again then another salary at the next month end. This become a cycle where most of us are trapped, and wasn’t able to escape. It’s us living in our comfort zone.
No wonder lots of OFW’s after working more than 20 years abroad or more are still working and doing the same thing. Not only them, but even their children are encouraged to do the same thing and put theirselves into a trapped even before they know it.
This becomes a social issue that needs to be treated and resolved. In order to do this, we must first realize our current situation and accept the fact that we are really trapped in the rat race. Then from there, let’s try to move out of our comfort zone and venture on different territory. It may be tough at the start but it’s the only way out if you really want change to happen in your life. Equip yourself as much as you can with financial and entrepreneurial knowledge. Invest in all things that can help you in this endeavor. Join groups with same mission of educating people to create abundance. Most of all, look for someone who can mentor you along the way to success.
I pledged myself to do anything to release myself from this trap. I started doing things that I usually not doing. Tiring, but I know I’m heading the right direction.
How about you?

Wow, thank you. I always wanted to write in my site something like that. Great job.
