Time is the most precious thing that we have and should not be wasted. Because once lost, we can never go back to it. And yet, this is the most common thing that people taken forgranted. I have known few friends who have this habit of being late and not following the agreed time. Everytime they do that, it makes me feel that I’ve wasted my time waiting them.
Time is gold as they say, and successful people value it much. To become successful, we should learn how to value time and be punctual on the scheduled time. For you, it may be easy to be late. You may think that you are only wasting your own time, and you can manage it well. But how about the people waiting for you? Let’s say you are late for an hour in your appointment with your five friends. Yes you lose one hour for being late. And all of your friends have combined losses of five hours because of your attitude. Lost times, cannot be compensated. But you can always reflect to it and try to improve the next time.
Being punctual shows how you value yourself and people around you. It also shows how other people will see you as a person. It is something that will distinguish you from the rest. In real life, our friends and family can understand our being late and take forgranted all our action. They knew you anyway and accept you for being that. Sad to say, this is not acceptable if you want to be successful in life.
Valuing time is not that difficult to make. It only takes not much effort to do and greater will to overcome all the barriers. Time management is the key. Instead of being on time, try to develop a new motto that goes like this: “Early or Never”. Challenge yourself and start valuing you time. If not for you, then do it for other people around you.
